Re-reading the posts and comments on this blog, it seems like last week that I left Beijing and all the wonderful people I met there. Nearly a year's gone by. It's been a year of analyzing, reflecting, and obsessing about China. The experience is still fresh and very much at the forefront of my mind as I approach my graduation in just a few short weeks. In the past year I've wrapped up my Spanish minor, took another class in Chinese, attended a summer photography workshop, and had powerful, meaningful trips to Mexico and Panamá. Like many of my fellow classmates from Beida spring 2010, I'm itching to take another crack at Asia, to keep digging into the layers upon layers of culture and tradition that remain so very foreign to us westerners.
This summer, I'm teaching English in Taiwan, and I'll be firing the blog back up as a way to keep family and friends updated on my adventures, my grand revelations and my inevitable epic

failures.
Stay tuned... I'll start jotting some thoughts and fun facts about this fascinating nation/autonomous region/breakaway province as the departure date approaches. I'm excited to be writing again, and even more excited to embark on another weird, wild adventure. Thanks for checking out the blog.
